"Prior to starting coaching with Gabrielle, I had done CrossFit for over a year and felt like I didn’t have the basic strength needed to continue with that. I struggled with mobility and fuelling my body correctly to grow stronger.
After 6 months of Gabrielle’s support, I have improved my strength in basic movements and most importantly my mindset has completely changed. She gives her clients so much research based information on training and nutrition. "I have learned so much in this short time frame and I am really happy with the progress I have made so far.
I have learnt to change the way I think about exercise and nutrition. I used to think that eating less was a good thing but I never had any energy and it was always a lose-lose situation. Her knowledge about fitness, nutrition and mental health is phenomenal and they all go hand in hand.
I've had many moments where the penny has dropped in just 4 months, such as eating more is a good thing, that having an off day, or missing a day at the gym because you're tired is ok. "I started working with Gabrielle in May after falling into a vicious cycle of under-eating and over-exercising, mostly doing high-intensity training 7 days a week. I was at my lowest weight and feeling super restricted and burnt out when I started with Gabby.

"I've got so much out of my coaching experience with Gabrielle, it's hard to know where to begin! When I came to her, I was so lost about what I should be doing and was constantly overwhelmed with the amount of conflicting advice online.

"I’ve been working with Gabrielle for 12 weeks now and wow I wish I had found her years ago!! This experience so far has been nothing but positive, you’ve helped me recognise areas that I needed to work on, and areas that I’ve neglected for years! Such as my sleep, my work/life balance and particularly my stress. Having opened up a business just over a year ago has been very stressful. I found myself getting if I was lucky 5 hours sleep at night, but I never took this into consideration when it came to my health. This resulted in me making poor food choices, being too tired to get to the gym, taking naps etc and I didn’t even realise my lack of sleep was affecting my results.
You’ve been nothing but supportive, you’ve never made me feel like a failure when I slip up and when I’m having a bad day you’ve always helped me focus on my wins and reminded me that I’m doing the best I can with the situations I’ve had to face. This is massive for me!! It’s helped keep me going and helped me stay on track.
My biggest lesson has been creating a more positive mindset and changing beliefs I’ve had for years. I’ve been so focused on the number on the scales over the years and then felt disheartened when that doesn’t change instead of focusing on all the positive things I’ve accomplished for the day. "I have been working with Gabby for over a year and have learnt so much! Nutrition has always played a huge part in why I may not have achieved my fitness goals in the past but now I have a better understanding of how to fuel my body for the training I am doing with her plus, having a better relationship with food too.
Gab is super supportive and is always super helpful with my millions of questions! I would say I've had a couple over the past year! The first big win was earlier in the year Gab helped me to prep for my first Crossfit comp (which was at very short notice as well) and I came 2nd which was epic. The second would be the lessons I've learnt about food and not feeling guilty about eating more.
I have done the cliche 12-week challenges which weren't sustainable long-term as I was eating extremely low calories, I did lose weight but it didn't teach me how to sustain that weight post-challenge.
Now I'm eating more, feeling fitter and stronger in my workouts as I am fuelling my body properly but I'm not restricting myself either."

"Before working with Gabrielle, I was under-eating and over-exercising. I was going down a bad road of making excuses for why I couldn't eat treats and starving myself of my favourite food.
I didn't have my period due to over-exercising and not supplying my body with enough nutrients to match this output. I was concerned about looking a certain way and didn't care about how my strength was progressing. You taught me about having a healthy relationship with food and supported and guided me throughout my time with you.
You have enabled me to change my focus and not worry about what I look like but work towards getting stronger and achieving my goals. You have also taught me how to correct my technique and ensure that I rest and look after my body. You motivate me daily and seeing what you achieve pushes me to try to be my best when pumping out weights (haha).
If I didn't invest in my health and fitness with you I would probably be still under-eating and not being the best version of myself and smashing out weights as I am today. But my biggest win would have to be the shift in my mindset all thanks to you and I couldn't thank you enough."

"Since starting with Gabby I’m a lot stronger, my mobility has improved 10 fold, my attitude towards food is not so obsessive and my physique has changed.
I absolutely love her training programmes, they really challenge me and I love how she incorporates the training of the smaller muscle groups – this has played a large part in the improvement of my mobility issues and my injuries. I can squat deeper and heavier than I use too.
For years I have been a yoyo dieter and my weight has yoyo’d along with it, my eating habits have changed to something much more sustainable through her education of me. I have never been able to do a pull up unassisted, now I can and because my mobility has improved so dramatically I have been able to return to running, something I enjoy so much.

“My journey with Gabrielle has been HUGE. When we meet, I was not in a place that was healthy with my mind, body or relationship with food. I had started exercising after the end of a relationship, I wanted something for me as I had realised I never had anything for myself.
Long story short I went through some up and downs, meet some very unhelpful people who reinforced that I had to be in deficit to get to my goals and further reinforcing some very unhelpful habits.
When I contacted Gabrielle, I avoided signing up believe it or not. I was so worried that I was going to be told to eat such low calories again and have an “all of nothing approach with food”, the level of trust for me in health and fitness professionals had gone.
After Gabrielle talking to me and reassuring me I was sold. She vaildated my feelings, concerns and tailored my plan to my goals at the time. More importantly setting me straight with the the crazy low calories I had been eating. Fast forward a year Gabrielle and I have been prepping for my first body building competition. Although it has been cancelled due to covid, we have kept pushing with the home workouts and consistency. She has been so supportive and attentive to all my concerns and goals throughout such a mentally and physically challenging time!
Throughout this 12 months I have have had a total body recomposition, which is often noticed by others. But what people don’t see is the time and investment Gabrielle and I have put into rebuilding my relationship with myself and my relationship with food. I originally reached out because I was really struggling to prioritise my own training after Personal training clients all day. I needed some structure to my training and someone to help hold me accountable for my sessions. Investing in myself was the best decision I ever made.

Working with you Gabby has been exactly what I needed. Structure, accountability, feedback and the odd ego boost along the way! Before I began on this whole journey with Gabby I was using apps and Instagram to try and Frankenstein a bit of a program for myself. I had no idea how to efficiently train. My head wasn't "in the game" and I was also intermittent fasting and really struggling with energy to get through my workouts. I messed about in the gym for about 3 months with zero idea. I knew I needed help and a friend put me on to Gabby. As soon as I signed on, she gave me the tools to fix all that and get on track. My 12 weeks of "going it alone" vs my 12 weeks with her were like chalk and cheese. The change was almost instant.
Late last year I made a pact with myself to commit to going to the gym for one full year. If it didn't do what I wanted after that I could quit but I needed to see the full year through. I am super stubborn at the best of times. 10 months on and I am now the fittest I have ever been. That seems pretty crazy to me considering I'm in my mid 40s and used to think I was super fit in my early 20s. The new tools I have learnt have been so cool. I always thought that you had to eat really low calories if you wanted to lose weight and I could never really get on board with tracking nutrition but after a bit it became a habit. And then there are the strength gains and composition changes... It feels good to be a gal rocking small but mighty muscles.
The main thing coaching has given me is the structure in which to make changes for myself. It's like a hiking guide book. It tells you how and gives you tips ... but you still gotta walk it yourself to experience it.
I had a bunch of bad habits before I began coaching, and I still have many to keep working on if I am honest. Always a work in progress. A few major achievements though have been my confidence, both in the gym and out of it and just finally feeling good in my own skin again. I don't even mind seeing photos of myself now! I used to absolutely HATE seeing them, I didn't recognise the person looking back at me; tired, bloated, just meh. Now I still don't really recognise her but she feels good and looks confident, strong and bold and there isn't much to hate about that!
I fixed my relationship with food in a big way. I was kinda just eating whatever I felt like and not paying attention. I now think of food as"cheap" or "expensive" and just like anything in life, I can have expensive things and they are nice to have but I have to do that in moderation (I ain't no millionaire that's for sure!). I realised that focusing on macros is the key to physical changes, not just the calories I am putting in. There is NO WAY I was eating enough protein on a daily basis. This new food focus has meant I can now do heaps of things physically I never thought I could (pull ups, deadlifting my own weight, and many more!) and I have discovered that I actually thrive on structure despite previously thinking I was pretty flexible.
I think my biggest lesson was when I first began to lift heavy weights. I always pictured myself as strong and capable even when I wasn't. I needed to learn to slow the heck down, take my time. I learnt that there is no strength without full control. Slow is strong and strong is slow.
The other lesson I have learnt is consistency is 100% the key. Maybe I won't reach my goals super fast but if I never back off and give up it is pretty much guaranteed I will reach the top of the mountain.

This journey has been well and truly life changing for not only my body, but my fitness journey and my mind. The impact on my life and my family's life as a result has been absolutely priceless. Before I met you Gabby, I was struggling with self-esteem and major anxiety about my body and training. I was super fit and active and felt "pretty good" but I never felt like I looked or felt like I should with how much I was training/doing and always second guessing myself. I started my nutrition journey with you and learnt immediately that I was eating too little, and lacking protein! This change was instantly beneficial and then after a few months we introduced training. As you said, the training stepped things up and was an absolute game changer.
The biggest learning for me, has been my change in mindset. Having your knowledge and guidance/total support (especially with all my panics in the first few months!!) has meant that I have had the confidence to trust in you, myself and the journey as I have gone through each phase. You are so right when you say to trust the process, and look at overall results, as well as other wins in the gym, and general wellbeing. Your training style is unbeatable. Your kind, gentle, direct, no fuss approach combined with your insane knowledge and encouragement has meant unbelievable amounts to me at all times, but particularly when self- doubt was creeping in. (which very rarely does now) Because of your support with my mindset, my focus was on strength, technique and nutrition instead of purely on physical results. I had dropped a pants size, and was feeling lean/good, but until I saw my before/after photos and took my measurements, I didn't have any idea of how much body recomposition has taken place! I have more energy, focus and drive, plus so much more time to be in the moment now that my mind and anxiety is under control! I am a better mum and wife and have gained huge amounts of strength and confidence and finally feel comfortable and that I belong in the gym. I also had the confidence to do a boudoir photoshoot, which was one of the most empowering experiences that I never thought I would have the confidence for!
